Cambodia is home to over 600 bird species and after being isolated from the outside world for so long, the country has since emerged as one of South-East Asia’s premier Bird-Photo-Tour destinations. Cambodia also hosts several globally threatened birds and our bird photography workshop focusses on obtaining portraits of six of its critically endangered birds including the Bengal Florican, Slender-billed Vulture, Red-headed Vulture, White-rumped Vulture, Giant Ibis and White-shouldered Ibis. Furthermore, our visit to Ratanakiri Province represents one of the prime opportunities in Asia for a chance to photograph the Coral-billed Ground Cuckoo. A low tourist density throughout all of the locations visited provides a welcome opportunity to photograph birds without heavy disturbance and with Cambodia offering a rich cultural heritage too, including the ancient temples of Angkor Wat, Bird-Photo-Tours ASIA’ Cambodia workshops offers the chance to obtain not only portraits of many of the country’s special birds but also to sample Cambodia’s unique cultural heritage.
