The little-visited country of Uzbekistan is famous for lying along the Silk Road, between Europe and the Orient, and its exotic architecture is a marvel to behold especially for the photographer. Uzbekistan is located in Central Asia, bordered by Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Turkmenistan. It is a country with diverse habitats from deserts, mountains, steppes and oases with a high biodiversity of 500 species of birds. Bird-Photo-Tours ASIA’ Uzbekistan workshops will focus on generating close photographic encounters with many of her special birds including the near-endemics Pander’s Ground Jay. In addition to photographing birds, Uzbekistan also offers breathtaking landscapes and architectural treasures enhancing the overall experience of being in nature whilst observing birds.
