Tajikistan is a land-locked country located in central Asia, bordered by Kyrgyzstan to the north, by China to the east and Uzbekistan and Afghanistan to the west and south respectively. It is a mountainous country with over 400 species of birds, more than 20 of which are globally threatened, and is a nation dominated by the Pamir and Alay Mountains. Bird-Photo-Tours ASIA’ Tajikistan workshops will focus on generating close photographic encounters with many of its special birds including the Large-billed Warbler, an extremely rare range-restricted bird and a true highlight for bird photographers visiting Tajikistan. In addition to photographing birds, Tajikistan also offers breathtaking landscapes and architectural treasures enhancing the overall experience of being in nature whilst observing birds.
