Kyrgyzstan is located on the eastern side of Central Asia, bounded by Kazakhstan to the north, by China to the east, and by Uzbekistan and Tajikistan to the west and south respectively. Kyrgyzstan also has varied habitats ranging from steppe and deserts to mountains and wetlands and this in turn has created a high diversity of over 500 bird species. Bird-Photo-Tours ASIA’ Kyrgyzstan workshops will focus on generating close photographic encounters with many of the country’s special birds including the critically endangered Yellow-breasted Bunting, as well as opportunities to photograph the range-restricted Red-mantled Rosefinch, Eversmann’s Redstart and White-capped Bunting. In addition to photographing birds, Kyrgyzstan also offers breathtaking landscapes, such as never-ending steppes, deserts and lush wetlands, enhancing the overall experience of being in nature whilst observing birds.
